Cat and mouse

Director: Maartje Seyferth & Victor Nieuwenhuijs
2016

Cat and mouse unfolds in a deserted, unidentified European landscape. It tells of the tragic death of a small child and the impact upon the people involved, especially the adolescent Belle.

Memory plays a crucial role in this story. When she denies the truth about the cause of the child’s death, Belle’s memory fades, and reality and fantasy become entwined. By not accepting the truth about the dramatic event, it becomes inevitable that disaster will strike again.
